Benda
Benda is a young contemporary pop Art 3D artist blurring the lines of traditional mediums to create stainless steel wall sculptures.
Benda’s technique of bringing together the metal layers is an absolute joy to the eyes. His artwork represents male and female icons. The artist manages to foster creative thinking and new ideas, such as playing with the Andy Warhol image or using Andy Warhol Forms.
Each of Benda’s creations is unique, formed by 10 to 20 layers of metal pieces. Each level is painted on metal boards, embellished, and installed by hand on a wood lacquer panel.
Benda’s passion for materials and shapes brought him to start his studies of Industrial Design at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. During that time, Benda found interest in modern pop art, which presents challenges to traditions of fine art by including imagery from popular and mass culture, he wanted to create a new point of view for our nowadays fame and glory. Tricking the eye by layers of metal, through hidden layers he is challenging the human eye.
Benda’s creations are displayed in galleries worldwide and have been collected by art lovers in the United States, China, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, France, and now can be found in TLV Fine Art in Dubai.
